01The Challenge

Pine Apple's Hardware Technology teams faced significant operational challenges. Program Managers and Engineering Program Managers (EPMs) were spending countless hours managing build plans across fragile, disconnected spreadsheets.

This fragmentation led to: • Operational risks from data inconsistencies • Hours lost to manual data entry and reconciliation • Limited visibility for executives across US, China, and Singapore teams • No single source of truth for build progress

02My Role

As the sole designer on this project, I was responsible for the end-to-end design process. My approach involved:

  • Analyzing stakeholder recordings to deeply understand user pain points
  • Mapping existing workflows across three countries
  • Designing the platform architecture from the ground up
  • Creating a unified design language that works across cultures

03The Solution

The platform delivered three core capabilities that transformed how teams work:

1. Automated Data Inputs Eliminated manual data entry by integrating with existing systems, reducing human error and freeing up EPM time for strategic work.

2. Traceable Systems Established clear data lineage so EPMs could track progress with confidence, knowing exactly where information came from and when it was updated.

3. Executive Dashboard Created real-time visibility for leadership across all three regions, enabling faster decision-making and better resource allocation.
